BRINGING NEW LIFE TO AN OLD GEM – This sweet little townhome in the heart of the city of Lancaster, PA was a little grim when I first walked in. Dark paneled walls, old paint on all the trim, a sad little kitchen. I loved, however the kitchen peninsula with it's curved top (I love curves in decorating, they have a psychological effect of generating a sense of calm.) We kept the paneling and simply painted it a french white and by painting the trim a brighter white we updated and freshened everything. I chose a beautiful soft blue green for the kitchen and added dark cabinets. I used the little space under the window to add a little counter return (and curved the corner, of course) to provide just a little extra space for keys, or spices...just a little surprise. This sweet little home flipped in no time!
